The Ministry of Culture Has Issued a List of Significant Film Festivals for 2023

Russian Ministry of Culture has published a list of significant film festivals. Among them are the XXVIII Open Russian Animated Film Festival, the VI International Children’s Animated Film Festival ANIMATIKA at the Artek International Children’s Center, which is held by the Russian Animation Film Association, and the II Animur International Animation Film Festival.

In total, information on 142 events was considered.
“According to the results of the meetings, 66 most significant projects of film festivals and 22 priority areas of state policy in the field of film festival movement for the next year were identified,” the message says.

As noted in the department, such criteria were taken into account as the educational and cultural value as well as the potential of the show in terms of discovering new talents and the importance of developing the film festival movement in russian regions.

It is also planned to hold a round table for representatives of the film industry on the promotion of film festivals, including attracting viewers and sharing best practices in film festivals. It also approved a list of priority areas of state policy in the field of the film festival movement in 2023, recommended by the Film Festival Council.
