The Second Russian-Chinese Dialogue in Animation

On December 1, the second Russian-Chinese dialogue in the field of animation took place.

Meeting organized by the Russian Animation Film Association (RAFA), the China Radio, Film and Television Association (CARFTE) and the China Animation Association (CAA) with the support of the National Radio and Television Administration of the People’s Republic of China (NRTA) and the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation was held in a hybrid format.

The dialogue was attended by animation production institutions, television and network audiovisual broadcasting platforms, companies engaged in research and development in the field of animation production of both countries. The agenda included the presentation of new projects and their promotion, the exchange of successful experience in international cooperation and the discussion of the possibilities of joint production.

The guests of honor of the meeting were Li Shaoyang, Secretary General of CARFTE. Ma Li, CAA President; Yang Ni, Deputy Director of the NRTA International Cooperation Department and Irina Mastusova, Executive Director of the RAFA.

The Russian side was represented by the Digital Television media holding, Melnitsa studios, Soyuzmultfilm, Riki Group, KinoAtis, RED CARPET, Yarko, Voronezh animation studio, Superheroes TV channel, Klass! TV company, Ponimatika, AA studio and Mechtalet. The Chinese side was represented by 12 companies.

The first online animation dialogue between the two countries was organized on December 9, 2021.
