Animatika is an international competition and festival of children’s animation films, which is annually held by the Animated Film Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Artek summer camp for children. According to the results of the competition, which brought together almost 100 cartoons from 29 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Estonia, Great Britain and other countries, the best authors were selected. 25 winners from different regions of Russia received vouchers for the ninth shift of Artek.
“Animation is a truly magical art that is close to both children and adults. It is magical because, with amazing possibilities, it revives not only the characters of fairy tales and modern superheroes, but, above all, revives the imagination and the hearts of the children. We follow with interest the creative successes of domestic and foreign animators and will be happy to share with them new works with Artek residents, ”says Konstantin Fedorenko, director of the Artek International Children’s Center.
Participants will attend master classes and lectures by well-known industry professionals, including the leading director of the Petersburg studio and the Smeshariki project Denis Chernov, the general producer of the Soyuzmultfilm studio Yulia Osetinskaya, animation director, screenwriter and production designer Tatyana Ilyina, director, animator and screenwriter Natalya Nilova, creative producer of Riki Group Tatyana Belova, director of the KinoAtis studio Inna Evlannikova, chief modeler and director of the animation school of the Wizart studio Aleksey Bogatyrev.
