Russian-Serbian Cultural Forum and Museum Road Show took place in Belgrade

On September 24, Belgrade hosted a meeting of the working group on culture and tourism within the framework of the Intergovernmental Russian-Serbian Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, the Russian-Serbian Cultural Forum, a museum road show and other cultural and educational events. The Russian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Yarilova. As part of the delegation, the animation industry was represented by the executive director of AAK Irina Mastusova.

Olga Yarilova stressed that despite all the difficulties and limitations, cooperation between Russia and Serbia in the field of culture has been and remains a continuous and priority one. “The proof of this is the representative Russian delegation that arrived in Belgrade, the variety of concert and exhibition events and, of course, the record number of dialogue platforms,” the Deputy Minister said at a meeting of the working group.

“Our cultural ties can be considered the basis for common cooperation. In achieving the goals in this area, the ministries of culture will continue to play a selfless and dedicated role in promoting, planning and managing the flow of cooperation through politics, as well as through direct participation in cultural events in the common interests of our states and peoples, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Serbia and the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, Maya Gojkovic.

On the sidelines of the Russian-Serbian Cultural Forum, representatives of the departments of both countries discussed areas for further bilateral cooperation in various fields and issues of interregional cooperation. The event included a plenary session “Spiritual connection and cultural codes – a platform for building cooperation between Russia and Serbia” and a round table “Human capital, cultural heritage and spiritual values ​​as the basis of creative entrepreneurship”

“The Forum is aimed at intensifying interregional ties between Russia and Serbia, establishing new horizontal contacts between cultural institutions and the business community of the two countries,” noted Olga Yarilova, speaking at the opening ceremony of the Forum.
