PAW Patrol fans will have to wait a few extra weeks before the pups’ next big-screen mission. Paramount, Spin Master and Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie has shifted its release from July 24, 2026, to August 14. The move takes the film out of competition with Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31) and Universal/Illumination’s Minions 3 (July 1). Next summer’s crowded animation slate also features Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 5, opening June 19.

The franchise’s third theatrical outing follows Chase, Skye, Marshall, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Everest, Liberty and Ryder as they become stranded on a mysterious dinosaur island. There they meet Rex, a new pup ally. When Mayor Humdinger’s reckless mining sparks a volcanic eruption, the team must pull off their most daring rescue yet.

Returning director and co-writer Cal Brunker, who helmed the first two films, leads the adventure. The voice cast features McKenna Grace, Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton and Bill Nye. Producers include Laura Clunie, Jennifer Dodge and Toni Stevens, with Ronnen Harary and Keith Chapman executive producing in association with Nickelodeon Movies.

The PAW Patrol franchise has already delivered two box office hits: PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), which earned $144.3 million worldwide, and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023), which grossed $205.1 million, making it the series’ top performer with $65.3 million domestically and $139.8 million internationally. Mikros Animation, recently acquired by Rodeo FX, handled production on both films.

Created by Keith Chapman (Bob the Builder), the PAW Patrol TV series launched on Nick Jr. in August 2013, produced by Spin Master Entertainment and animated by Guru Studio. The franchise expanded in 2023 with the spin-off Rubble and Crew, animated by Jam Filled Entertainment for Nickelodeon.
