Animation Industry Representatives Discuss Development of Russian Software Solutions

On August 27, an industry meeting dedicated to the development and implementation of Russian software solutions for the animation industry was held at AKI.lab in Moscow.

The event brought together representatives of leading Russian animation studios and companies, including Soyuzmultfilm, Voronezh Animation Studio, Riki Group, YARKO, Parovoz, KinoAtis, CGF Animation, Rocket Fox, Metrafilms, Melnitsa, and other industry participants.

The meeting was opened by Gulnara Agamova, CEO of the Agency for Creative Industries; Yuliana Slashcheva, Chair of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm and Chair of the Board of the Russian Animated Film Association; and Irina Mastusova, Executive Director of the Russian Animated Film Association.

The central topic of the discussion was the development of Russian technological solutions capable of meeting the current needs of the animation industry. Alexander Egorov, CEO of Artipic and founder of Octarine, presented the Octarine platform and outlined the key objectives and process for establishing an industry consortium.

Vladimir Nikolaev, General Producer of Voronezh Animation Studio, spoke about the prospects for developing production management tools and 3D animation technologies.

Participants discussed the software needs of Russian animation companies, opportunities to combine industry expertise with technological competencies, and prospects for joint work on the development of Russian solutions for animation production.

The business program concluded with a Q&A session and an open discussion, during which industry representatives exchanged views and identified further areas for cooperation.
