Animation Film Association Held a Pitching Session at the Moscow Licensing Summit
On September 8, the 11th Moscow Licensing Summit was held at the Moscow Video Game and Animation Cluster in Skolkovo. One of the key events of the business programme was the traditional Animation Film Association project pitching session.
The pitching session was moderated by Irina Mastusova, Executive Director of the Animation Film Association. At the opening of the session, she presented an analytical overview of the current state of the Russian animation industry, key market indicators, and major development trends.
The Association presented the following projects during the pitching session:
— Roman Krivoshein, CEO of MATV — the animated series Masha and the Bear;
— Denis Sopegin, Creative Director of the Kaprizka Production Centre and Animation Studio, and Andrey Lugovoy, Creative Producer — the animated series The Guy from the Fridge and Mediatoriki;
— Ksenia Demidovich, Lead Artist at Videal Media Studio — the animated series and feature film Superglazka;
— Igor Shibanov, CEO of Lux Cinema — the animated series The Secret of Our School;
— Karen Mirzoyan, producer, co-owner of Top Film, AI filmmaking expert, and screenwriter of the Tugan Batyr project — the animated series Legends of Tugan Batyr;
— Ksenia Smirnova, Head of Business Development at ON Media — the animated series Poncho Moncho and Lesovichki;
— Vladislav Dombrovsky, General Producer of 4MEDS — the animated series NANOBOTS;
— Natalia Savina, Creative Director, and Olga Kalinina, CEO of RG Bros Studio — the animated series Pchelografiya;
— Daria Yermochikhina, Creative Director of Pol Pyatogo Studio.
The pitching session provided a platform for presenting animation projects to professionals in the licensing market, identifying new partners, and discussing opportunities for the further development and promotion of projects.
The 11th Moscow Licensing Summit brought together rights holders, manufacturers, retailers, and other representatives of the licensing industry. The business programme also included analytical and legal sessions, presentations of new licensing offers, and discussions of current brand monetisation and promotion models.
