4th edition of Animur International Animated Film Festival in Khabarovsk

We are pleased to announce the start of accepting applications for participation in the international competition of the IV Animur International Animated Film Festival, which will be hosted in Khabarovsk from November 1 to November 4, 2025. This festival, which is the easternmost in Russia, will be a real celebration for fans of animation art.
‘We see how the animation industry, our Factory of Meanings, is emerging in the Far East. Not so long ago, animation studios and schools began to be created here, and their projects were shot. Animur has become a point of attraction, a beacon for experienced and young authors, studios and viewers. Animur is our Far Eastern Oscar, a declaration of love for animation art. This is a dialogue of cultures, an opportunity for authors from all over the world to express themselves, and for viewers to see and understand their work,’ says Alexandra Dubovskaya, Animur CEO.
This year, animated short meters and animated series produced no earlier than 2023 will be selected to participate in the International Competition. Animated films from Russia, the Asia-Pacific Region and Southeast Asia will be selected for the 2025 competition program.
Films from other regions of the world will be presented in the non-competitive program of the festival. Full-length and short animated films representing various themes, plots, trends, and the work of individual animation studios and directors (including retrospectives and tributes) are accepted for participation in the non-competitive program.

‘Animur is a unique international show competition that combines the traditions of the Russian animation school and the cultural peculiarities of Asian countries in its program. We always select a program that will satisfy even the most sophisticated viewer. In addition to the international competition of professional and student animation, an additional children’s track Animur.Children is a competition for children’s animation creativity, as well as pitching (presentation competition) projects from young teams living in the Khabarovsk Territory and other regions of the Far East and the Arctic. The best works will be included in the annual animated almanac “DVIZHBA”‘ — says Alyona Sycheva, Program Director of Animur.
