‘Formula for Water’ animated feature released at theaters in Russia.

The plot centers on the story of a teenage girl, Dana, who lives on one of the islands of the ocean planet among mutants. Dana becomes the target of pirate thugs who consider her the key to the legendary treasure – a source of drinking water. Escaping from pirates, Dana meets a troupe of traveling artists – together they will have to experience vivid and dangerous adventures, become real friends and solve the mystery of the treasure.

‘This is a completely innovative project, for which a large–scale animated universe has been developed, in fact, an entire planet with its inhabitants and history,’ said Juliana Slashcheva, SMF Studio Chairman of the Board of Directors . – In addition, ‘Formula for Water’ is a beautiful metaphor film about the victory of friendship, love, creativity and life itself, which freshwater embodies in this film.’

In addition to the adventure component, the film also touches on environmental issues relevant to the whole world.

‘The issue of freshwater scarcity is becoming an increasing priority for the whole world, more and more countries are facing this problem, and modeling an alternative universe in our film, we want to draw attention to this fact, among other things,’ said Sergey Demchev,   Magic Factory film Studio CEO.

According to him, the picture, designed for family viewing, is also interesting due to the unique pipeline of the Magic Factory studio, which includes motion capture. This allowed the stars of media, cinema and show business not only to voice the characters, but also to give them their own manner of movement and facial expressions. So, the prototypes of the characters were singer, dancer Niletto, video blogger, singer, TV host Yulia Gavrilina.
