Korea x Russia Content Connect Forum in Seoul

On November 12, a meeting of representatives of the gaming industry and animation content of Russia and South Korea took place in Seoul. Korea x Russia Content Connect is the first event of its kind, which focuses on the development of bilateral industrial ties. Irina Mastusova, RAFA CEO spoke about Russian animation brands and invited Korean companies to cooperate in licensing, co-production and distribution. Unlike Russia, where more than 50 Korean animation brands are widely represented, Russian content in Korea is practically unknown, despite the broadcast of individual Russian projects on TV channels and streaming platforms.
‘We are confident that holding such forums will bring Russian animation content to the Korean market, create new opportunities for joint projects and open up prospects for the development of Russian-Korean business in the field of creative industries in general. We hope that this initiative will be continued, and such meetings will become annual,’ said Mastusova in her speech.
