The “Insomnia–2025” Festival Kicks Off on July 17

From July 17 to 21, the Insomnia–2025 Festival will take place in the Kaluga Region — an international non-profit open-air festival of independent animation.

For several nights under the open sky, the best animated films selected for the competition program will be screened. During the day, the festival will feature musical performances, art shows, lectures, installations, and a carnival.

The festival is based on the principles of openness, sustainability, voluntary participation, and a non-commercial approach. All proceeds go toward its development and support of the community.

In 2025, a documentary titled Insomnia in the World of Dreams is being produced about the festival. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched in its support.
