Soyuzmultfilm has announced the fifth edition of its online festival “Warm Animation,” dedicated to the studio’s 90th anniversary. The program will feature works by emerging directors alongside award-winning animated films from Russian and international festivals.

Screenings will take place on the VK Video platform and will run until June 10, marking the studio’s anniversary date. The lineup includes student films from recent years as well as graduation projects created within the studio’s directing workshops.

The final stage of the festival will showcase award-winning films that have not yet been widely released. Among them are Remarki by Maria Yakushina, Bulgakov by Stanislav Sokolov, and There Once Was a Mountain by Natalia Abramova.

Screenings are scheduled several times a week, primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional showings planned later. The festival will conclude on June 10 with a special screening of Silly Dog by Daria Ishcheykina, a film that has received multiple awards.

The “Warm Animation” festival continues to support emerging talent and highlight contemporary trends in Russian animation, combining educational initiatives with a curated online showcase.
