The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has approved the new composition of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture. The corresponding Order No. 1015 was signed by Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova on June 1, 2026.

The newly appointed Council includes representatives of the Russian Animated Film Association: Irina Mastusova, Executive Director of the Association, and Ilya Popov, Chair of the Board of the Russian Animated Film Association.

The Public Council is a permanent advisory body that participates in public oversight of the Ministry’s activities, reviews major industry initiatives, and develops recommendations for the advancement of Russia’s cultural sector.

The inclusion of representatives from the animation industry will help ensure greater attention to issues related to the development of Russian animation, support for content producers, and the implementation of industry initiatives at the federal level.

The appointment reflects the growing role of the animation sector within Russia’s creative industries and provides the industry with an additional platform for dialogue with policymakers and cultural institutions.
