Coming Soon: Moscow International Book Fair to Discuss How Books and Animation Are Becoming a Single Ecosystem

On September 2, as part of the business program of the 39th Moscow International Book Fair, the BOOK+ discussion session “Stories That Become Universes: Books and Animation as a Single Ecosystem” will take place. The session will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gostiny Dvor, at the FORUM venue.
The discussion is organized by Universitetskaya KNIGA magazine, the Russian Animated Film Association, and the Russian Book Union.
The session will focus on cooperation between the two industries and the development of intellectual property. Today, books are increasingly becoming the basis for animated projects, while successful animated titles continue their stories in books, comics, and graphic novels. Experts will discuss the most promising models of cooperation between publishers and animation studios, what makes a literary work suitable for animation, and how books and animation can strengthen audience interest in one another.
The session will be moderated by Elena Beilina, Editor-in-Chief of Universitetskaya KNIGA magazine, and Irina Mastusova, Executive Director of the Russian Animated Film Association.
The discussion will bring together representatives of leading animation studios and publishing houses, including Soyuzmultfilm, Riki Group, BUBBLE, Eksmo, Rosman, and Machaon, as well as children’s author Anastasia Orlova.
We look forward to seeing you at the Moscow International Book Fair on September 2!
