Congratulations to the winner of the Golden Eagle Film Award director Vasily Rovenskiy!

On January 26, 2024 the XXII Golden Eagle Film Award ceremony, established by the National Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Russia, took place in the legendary first pavilion of the Mosfilm Film Studio. The Golden Eagle is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of cinematography based on the results of voting by full members and corresponding members of the Academy. The winners in each nomination received a Golden Eagle statuette created by the Mercury jewelry company, which has been a partner of the Ceremony since 2016.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the assistant to the President Vladimir Medinsky read a welcome letter from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, addressed to the guests and participants of the ceremony: ‘<…> The current event is a special one, it takes place in the year of the 100th anniversary of the legendary Mosfilm. Here, within the walls of one of the oldest film studios in the country, the spirit of creation and bold innovation has always reigned, the great traditions of Russian cinema were born and strengthened. It is gratifying that the current generation of artists and directors, artists and writers carefully preserves the unique creative heritage of their predecessors. You are united by your passion for your chosen work, a sincere desire to create meaningful, interesting works that meet the strict criteria of genuine craftsmanship and artistic taste. I am sure that this celebration will take place in a festive atmosphere and will give everyone present a kind, unforgettable experience. And of course, congratulations to the laureates on a great, well-deserved success.’

The prize for the “Best animated Film” was awarded to the director of the film “Cats of the Hermitage” Vasily Rovenskiy, who said thank you to the numerous team that worked on the project for 4 years.
