Mishustin Approved the Concept for the Development of Creative Industries in Russia

The Russian government has approved a concept for the development of creative industries in the country, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers. The government intends to support theater, music, film, painting, architecture, design, tourism and digital content production.

“The government has approved a concept for the development of creative, creative industries for the next nine years. This is another important tool for achieving the national goals that the president has set. The concept will contribute to the creation of new jobs, including in the field of creative small and medium-sized businesses, and most importantly, it will give people additional opportunities for self-realization, ”said Mr. Mishustin (quoted from the government’s Telegram channel).

The government expects that up to 15% of Russians will have a creative profession by 2030. The share of the creative sphere in the economy by this time is expected to reach 6%.
