1080х1081

The VIDMK26 Film and Video Industry Forum, one of the largest professional events dedicated to film and video production in Russia, has announced its programme. The forum will take place in Moscow on May 29–30.

This year, the forum will feature eight thematic halls and more than 50 events covering film production, advertising, production companies, studio management, investment in the creative industries, artificial intelligence, distribution, and project pitching. One of the key topics of the forum will be the current challenges facing the industry and possible ways to overcome them.

The programme will focus on cinema, AI-generated content, and investment. Participants will be offered a strategic opening session, discussions on franchises and cinematic universes, the shortage of professional talent, cooperation between brands and production companies, investment in film and video projects, vertical series, independent cinema, the future of the creative industries, and project distribution.

Several sessions will be devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in content production, post-production workflows, advertising, and media company management. The programme will also include workshops on shooting on film, food filming, working with robotic camera systems, laser special effects, lighting, action scene staging, and other practical aspects of production.

A separate area of the forum will be dedicated to post-production and AI. Speakers will discuss virtual production project management, sound in cinema, cooperation between VFX studios, production companies and agencies, trailer production, and the ways artificial intelligence is changing post-production workflows.

The investment section will focus on profitability and risks in film and video assets, portfolio approaches, investor work with scripts, and analysis of investment projects.

On May 30, Hall 6 will host a pitching session for screenwriters and authors. Selected projects in two categories — shows for television channels and platforms, and series — will be presented to an expert jury. The winner will receive a grant to study at the Industry Film School, as well as support in the form of free access to production stages and film equipment to help accelerate project development.

The VIDMK26 programme reflects the increasing importance of technological transformation, investment mechanisms, and new production models for the audiovisual sector, including areas relevant to animation, digital content, and creative IP development.
