Winners of the 4th MultPraktika International Animation Festival Announced

The 4th MultPraktika International Animation Festival has announced the winners of its competition programme. The festival’s Grand Prix was awarded to Once Upon a Tiger, directed by Marina Verik and Dmitry Mosyagin (Russia, 2024).

The Jury Special Prize for simplicity and expressive storytelling went to Snails. Almanac, directed by Stefan Max Goblirsch and Laura Fernandez Garcia (Sweden, 2024). The Jury Special Prize for preserving the best traditions of world animation was awarded to The Piano, directed by Avery Kroll (USA, 2025).

The award for the promotion of science was presented to Neodeti: Mammoth from the Future, a project produced by Soyuzmultfilm and directed by Sofron Varlamov (Russia, 2025).

The award for Best Series went to Episode 3 of Abduction, directed by Anastasia Bondarenko (Russia, 2025).

In the feature film category, Finnick 2, directed by Denis Chernov (Russia, 2025), received the award for Best Feature-Length Animated Film.

The Best Short Film award was presented to Animetro, directed by Natalia Grofpel (Russia, 2025), while the Best Student Film prize went to Cows, directed by Nicolas Acevedo Ferrate (France, 2025).

The Best School Film award was presented to Paper as the Art of Eternity, created by the children’s animation studio Making Cartoons by Hand at the Computer Center of Luga, Leningrad Region. The film was created by Anna and Maria Bubileva.

The Governor of the Voronezh Region Prize was awarded to The Color of Viburnum, produced by the Wrong Bees animation studio at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Region, under the supervision of Natalia Terekhova.

Among age-specific categories, When We Were Grass by Ekaterina Kuricheva (Russia, 2025) won Best Film for Preschool Audiences. Paper Lion by Elena Baranovskaya (Russia, 2025) received the award for Best Film for Children, while Swimming Lessons by Anna Isakova (Russia, 2025) was recognized as Best Film for Teenagers. The award for Best Film for Adults went to Kitten and Hedgehog by Vsevolod Bulavkin (Russia, 2025).

The Soyuzmultfilm Special Prize was awarded to Fondue, directed by Kristina Kessler (Russia, 2025). The festival’s media partner, TV channel 2×2, presented its special prize to A Wonderful Gift, directed by Dana Galeano (Colombia, 2024).

The winners of the pitching competition were the projects The Mityaev Family by Aidar Bashirov and Music Video Makers by Tatyana Shcherbina.

The festival organizers congratulated the winners and thanked all participants and guests of the fourth edition of MultPraktika for their contribution to the event.

The festival is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Governor of the Voronezh Region.
