Cinema Fund Supports 23 Projects by Leading Russian Film Production Companies

The Russian Cinema Fund has completed the selection process for projects eligible to receive production support as part of its programme for leading national film production companies.
Following the review, support was approved for 23 film projects. The list includes 1001 Nights, The Scarlet Flower, Veselchak U, Once There Lived a Dog, Cinderella, The Battle of Kulikovo, Neznayka, The Last Bogatyr: Kolobok, The Snow Queen, Umka, The Mistress of the Copper Mountain, Chudo-Yudo, The Nutcracker, and several other productions.
A number of the selected projects are aimed at family audiences and are based on well-known fairy tales, literary works, and popular screen characters.
The published list also identifies the production companies behind the projects. Among them are VBD Group JSC, Central Partnership LLC, PROFIT LLC, Vodorod 2011 LLC, STV Film Company LLC, Nikita Mikhalkov’s TRITE Studio LLC, and other major Russian producers.
The programme is intended to support the production of nationally significant films and to strengthen the development of large-scale projects within the Russian film industry. Several of the selected titles draw on classic stories and characters familiar to generations of viewers, highlighting the continued interest in family-oriented content and adaptations of cultural heritage properties.
