“A Puppet Story in a New Dimension”

A large-scale interactive exhibition, “The History of Puppet Animation: A Look into the Past, a Look into the Present,” has opened in Russia.

On January 25, the opening of a traveling interactive exhibition dedicated to the history of Russian puppet animation took place in Moscow. The project presented rare exhibits, archival materials, and contemporary multimedia solutions that make it possible to take a fresh look at the legendary images of national animation.

Visitors explored the evolution of puppet animation, saw iconic characters, learned about the process of creating puppet animated films, and immersed themselves in the atmosphere of the animated world through interactive formats.

The exhibition combined elements of history and modern technology: the venue featured original puppets and props, authorial materials, photo and video chronicles, as well as multimedia zones.

The exhibition became a significant event for fans of Russian animation and the professional community alike. Among the guests were representatives of cultural institutions, the media, as well as families with children and admirers of puppet animation.

After its opening in Moscow, the project will travel to other cities across Russia. The exhibition will continue as a traveling display, expanding its geography and introducing new audiences to the rich heritage of puppet animation.
