Cinema Fund to Hold Pitching Session for Russia’s Leading Film Production Companies

On May 29, the Cinema Fund will hold an in-person pitching session at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for national film projects submitted by Russia’s leading film production companies.

The presentations will begin at 12:00 p.m. A total of 27 projects will be showcased during the session. Among them are numerous titles of particular interest to the animation industry and family audiences, including Dunno, Cheerful U, The Flying Ship 2, Umka, The Snow Queen, Sadko, Chudo-Yudo, The Scarlet Flower, Once Upon a Dog, One Thousand and One Nights, Dog, The Last Bogatyr: Kolobok, The Wizard of the Emerald City: Homecoming, The Nutcracker, and others.

The pitching session will be available via live stream on the official Cinema Fund website.

Earlier, the Cinema Fund announced the list of ten companies recognized as leaders of the Russian film industry and eligible to participate in the pitching program.

A significant portion of the projects presented this year are animated features or family-oriented films based on well-known literary works, folklore characters, and established screen franchises. The line-up reflects the continued growth of large-scale animation production in Russia and the industry’s increasing focus on developing recognizable intellectual properties for domestic and international audiences.
